‘That’s How We Beat Them All’: The Best Mercedes-Benz Inspirational Video You’ll See All Day
Falling somewhere in between the worst of late 1980’s hair metal and the best of Inspirational Rock, this powerful music video from Mercedes-Benz may be the best piece of corporate propaganda we’ve ever seen. In addition to extolling the virtues of M-B’s whole product line to U2-inspired guitar riffs that would make Chinese product developers cringe, these hard-working rockers manage to insult a fair number of luxury automakers (and the Japanese) in this four-minute bonanza.
It’s only fair to point out that we have no idea of this masterwork actually came from minds at Mercedes, but we have a hard time imagining such depth of purpose for a send-up. Genius either way.

Seems like an internal introduction type of video. Maybe for new M-B employees in training. Probably from the U.S. judging by the accents (and use of English), maybe the U.K. I enjoyed it, but the music/song is really corny. I would expect something a bit more classy from M-B, maybe this is for new tech's in the U.S.?

Corny as hell. God i hope mercedes is not behind this because it is the most pittyful display i have ever seen...Actually forget that, if this was made by those guys with out the consent of mercedes then that is the most pittyful display i have ever seen.

I agree with Seyth, this is quite good for a corporate propoganda video. It still doesn't make it good for anything, yet this effort is quite high quality.
I wonder why would MB bother to use such oldfashioned, risky and dull tehnique to stress their motivation? In my world if you are fighting some problem, it's the No1 indicator that you have the problem.

I've produced this sort of messaging for companies, but not this one. It's obviously for internal publics, and I'd say it's geared for employees at US dealerships, but might get some play in Canada as well. Simple messaging, kind of inspirational, and intended to display a "can-do" attitude.
I like the use of the catchy tune. One can almost see the dedicated and newly enthused Mercedes-Benz associates humming this ditty as they walk out of conference rooms. I've got no problem with that, especially if it makes my next trip to the service department more enjoyable.
I hope they used the "one goal" message throughout the rest of their training.

Doubt this would go over well in Canada... I can't believe how white and male that video was ( having a few female backup singers almost made things worse ). The "No one who looks like you works here" <s>message </s> under-tone wouldn't be popular.
And was the TLA ever spelled out? I didn't notice, but have no urge to watch a 2nd time to see... I.C.T. was it?

It's obviously an internal propaganda video that wasn't for public release...They must have different ethical standards though, whoever it was made for. Lines like Audi ..bye bye; and the Japs, they just cry - would be viewed with disdain and as in incredibly poor taste as a racial slur in North America and certainly in Asia. Wow!

Im 18 years old and as a struggling student who enjoys racing UGG
