Audi R8-Inspired Super Catamaran
Yes, this twin-hull speedboat concept is based on the styling of the stunning R8, making it completely awesome. No, there is no indication that we can find that the catamaran is destined for production.
Despite the rather small chance that it will actually be built, this R 8.8 BioCat is still decidedly radical to look at and ponder. The concept would be powered by either a modified diesel V-10 running biofuels, or two smallish V-8s creating 320 horsepower each. Those powerplants, along with the imagined “light and strong” materials used for the rest of the watercraft, are said to offer the R 8.8 a top speed of around 110 miles per hour.
