Spied: Return Of The Rambo Lambo!!
No, this isn’t yet another prototype of the 2008 Porsche Cayenne—not if spy shooter extraordinaire Hans Lehmann has anything to say about it. The muscled mule is actually the early forerunner to the Lamborghini SUV depicted in the artist’s rendering above.
According to Lehmann and his Hidden Image sources, Porsche is developing the Italian 4x4 because they’ve proven themselves with their work on the Audi Q7 and the Volkswagen Touareg before it.
It is believed that the Rambo Lambo redux (see the LM002 for pace notes) will be powered by the V-10 mill currently seeing use in the Audi S6 and S8. A smaller 4.5-liter V-8 could see production, and there is the very real possibility that this Lamborghini will be the first raging bull with a diesel engine under the hood— think Audi’s 5.9-liter V-12 TDI.
LAMBORGHINI SUV
The Audi owned Italian sports car maker Lamborghini is building an SUV again. This strange looking Porsche Cayenne is actually a mule for the upcoming SUV by Lamborghini. Because Porsche did most of the work when developing the VW Touareg and the recent Audi Q7, they also got the responsibility to do the development of the Lamborghini SUV.
Engine will probably be a version of the V10 known from the Gallardo and Audis S6 and S8, but also a 4.5 liter V8 known from the Cayenne could be available. A diesel version is also in the plans, with the 5.9 litre Audi V12 TDI. This engine is a real masterpiece and has an enormous power output of 500 bhp and a torque of 1000 Nm. This sounds like an SUV more for the tracks and the cities, but with these engine alternatives it will have to be yet a four wheel drive, else there will be problems getting the power on the ground.
Between 1982 and 1993 Lamborghini built approximately 300 SUVs with the name LM 002, a monster powered by the V12 from the Lamborghini Countach with first 375 bhp and later on 455 bhp. At that time it was a very unusual decision from a sports car maker that was primarily known for high-performance grand tourers and super cars. But with the success that Porsche has had with the Cayenne, plans for a Lamborghini SUV are growing again.
Based on a modified Cayenne platform, the development costs will be kept low and with that raging bull on the hood Lamborghini is able to take good money for a car that is in fact a Porsche Cayenne. Of course the design will stand out, and the sound of that V10 will get their owners the status in the asphalt jungle that they want.
The photos are showing four photos of the Cayenne mule plus one computer image giving an artist’s impression of how a futuristic Lamborghini SUV could look like.

What's interesting is how anyone can figure out why/how this is the Lamborghini, and not the Bentley SUV, Bugatti SUV, or Zonda SUV.

In the car business, you make cars that look like that to test new powertrain inventions.
If you want to call that a spy shot, ok.
But at best it's a Porsche with a Lambo engine in it.
Which is really far from a Lambo SUV.
It may confirm existence of the program, though.
Personally, I just think it's a payday for a photographer.

Totally agree with Detroit9000. This article says nothing. Winding road probably paid $250 for pictures of a car they know nothing about, and a terrible Lambo p'chop.

Apparently you guys don't know Hans Lehmann, then. His group knows spyshots better than anyone in the business. He's usually spot on. I just hope that illustration isn't - that is one ugly mother of a mock up.

Surly this will compete in the same market as the Cayenne and so why would Porsche want to develop it.
Surly they aren't going to make as much in engineering fees as they loose in sales. Though if they buy any more of VW/AUDI then they're going to end up owning Lambo as well.

I'd say it is probably just another entry in the 'spoof wars' that WR ignited when they invited a bogus Corvette.
Why should anyone think any these are real spyshots anymore, when those would actually cost money? Heck, instead just need some tape and cardboard, a couple of goons you can pay by the job... voila!

As you can see there is only one Lamborghini SUV pn this page and it is the first picture, BUT if you were to scroll down all your are doing is fooling the audience unless your are blind you can see the other SUVS are Porche and all you did was take of the symbol.
