Is this due to the Unique Performance fiasco? UP and its founders are presently under investigation for replacement VIN plates and ripping off buyers who put down payments, but never received cars. The UP execs blamed Shelby for faulty mechanical parts supplied to them, causing messy production and delays. Shelby American and Foose Design have since cut ties with UP, but the crisis continues with empty-handed buyers.

The company name, "Classic Recreations," is in the same vein as "Unique Performance," and the model pricing and specs are almost the same. I don't like where this is going. Shelby's authorization means nothing these days, as the old man is depserate for any nickel he can get.

I actually believe this contract came from Disney who finally licensed the name Eleanor. I do not believe this deal has anything to do with Shelby. Classic Recreations, though a small shop does some nice work, far from the "zip tie the fuel line to break/ electrical lines" in the UP vein.
