eBay Auction of the Day: 1968 Lamborghini Miura P400, Two Flavors

Today the seemingly infinite wealth of eBay Motors offers up 1968 Lamborghini Miura P400s for two different kinds of buyer, the DIY expert, or the turn-key man.

The Miura project car isn’t something that comes along everyday. It was the victim of a tree falling on its garage when it was still fairly new, and has been used as a sort of super-rare parts car up until now. The owner has managed to retrieve the original engine, which had been doing service in another Miura for over a decade, and is in quite rust-free condition.

(Click through the jump to read on about the tale of two Lambos, or on the thumbnails below to launch galleries of the 1968 Miuras.)

Unfortunately not all of the original parts were recovered, so any buyer will have quite a laundry list of classic Lambo bits to track down. All of the car’s glass, the doors, the drive axles, and the carburetors are missing from this project, as are many more pieces.

For those of you with more money than time, eBay can also offer a 1968 P400 on the opposite end of the restoration spectrum. The red Lamborghini in the gallery below is ready to roll, having had over $200,000 in work done according to the seller. The running Miura has also been upgraded to SV specifications, and was at one time on the cover of Road & Track magazine.

With just under three days left on the project Miura, and about a week to auction the complete car, it will be interesting to see what the eventual price difference is between these two unique Lamborghinis.

Yummy!!!! One of my favorite cars of all time. I'll take both and have some spare parts for the red car :)
