The big news for 2009 is that the V8 Vantage gets a bigger engine (4.7 liters, up from 4.3). This increases power by 11 percent to 420 bhp, and more importantly ups the torque spec by 15% to 346 lb. ft. Aston isn't really a "numbers" company, so that figure isn't especially impressive. But on the road it brings a much needed sense of punch to the proceedings. Combine the new engine with the Sports Pak suspension and the V8 Vantage finally fulfills the hopes of those who love the shape and - for a limited production car - the price of this Aston.
