Cat Scratch Fever: 2010 Jaguar XFR Leaked Before Detroit Debut
Just days before the Detroit Auto Show press days are set to begin, the folks over at 4WheelsNews have broken the embargo on Jaguar's new XFR sedan, which will make its debut on Sunday. Jag's new M5-fighter will be powered by a new supercharged 5.0-liter V-8 capable of producing 510 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, which lines up with the predictions we made when we saw mules of the car testing.
The XFR will be able to scoot from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 4.7 seconds and will max out at an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph. Larger vented disc brakes are standard and are hidden behind attractive twenty-inch Nevis alloy wheels. A new front fascia has larger air intakes, and a revised rear skit incorporates a four-pipe exhaust. Inside, aluminum trim and sport buckets are standard, as is a sport steering wheel.

Official pricing hasn't been released as of right now, but I'd expect it to fetch about the same as an M5. The top-model XF SV8 starts at $64,475, and based on other Jag pricing specifications, I'd guess between $75,000 and $80,000 for the XFR.

Hrm...I think it's managing to grow on me a bit actually. In this form anyway...Only gripe about it's styling is that it fails to make me think, "Jag"...like, at ALL. Perhaps that's a good thing?...I honestly don't think so.
