In an effort to make Winding Road as reader-friendly, easy to use, and beautiful as possible, our hard-working technology team is preparing an update to the digital reader that runs our magazine. Long time Winding Road fans will recognize that this update certainly isn’t the first time we’ve altered the way in which the magazine is delivered. We are trying something a little new this time around though, and are asking for your feedback about the digital reader before we launch it. A crazy concept, we know.
By clicking through the link below, you’ll be able to test out the beta version of our new interface (currently loaded with WR issue 48), and use it in almost the same way it will be used when it launches for real. We would ask that you bear with the slightly longer loading times of the beta version, and understand that the speed of the final product will be on par with our current reader (the test server is slightly slower than the real deal).
There are a couple of key points we’d like to draw attention to, as they are the upgrades that we’ve really had in mind with this new system.
- A much larger, frameless viewing area
- Fewer advertisements
- A streamlined, easy-to-use navigation interface
- The ability to navigate quickly from one article to the next, and from Winding Road directly back to NextAutos.com
Please take a little time to play with our new digital reader in beta form, and then respond in our Forums section with questions, comments, and concerns about it. We’re building this for you, after all, and want to hear from you. Thanks in advance for your input and insights.
