Chicago 2009: Ford SHOs Its New Taurus Live In Chicago
Ford has already released the details about the 2010 Taurus SHO. The car's twin-turbo V-6 with 365 horsepower should surely be a hit, especially with the large crowd of SHO enthusiasts around the country. Additionally, a tuned suspension and torque-sensing all-wheel drive system will make this SHO pretty fun to drive, and with a starting price under $40,000, we're hoping they sell like hotcakes.

I would've like the Taurus a little smaller. Also, what would be the chance of getting a 2-door (coupe) version?

Yeah, the two door coupe is called the Mustang. LOL Maybe FORD can pull a Genesis and have a coupe using the same engine and AWD system and hell why not try a limited edition Shelby variant of the four door but with the 2010 GT500 engine and rear wheel drive. Ah a boy can only dream.

Bluesman the Taurus is larger for a reason. Because if it was smaller it would be a MID-SIZED car, and it would be called...THE FUSION. This new design for the Taurus is a huge step-up from the current design.

As six foot plus red-blooded American who cannot fit in the transplants, the Ford SHO with its new aggressive lines is probably one of the few candidates to park in my driveway! When I first saw the SHO grille at NAIAS, I wondered if Ford had taken some talent from the General. The proportions, vs. the crisp bodylines vs. the curves, well it gets me going. Is this a Ford let alone a Taurus? Many of the best-designed interiors come from Dearborn, and Taurus has one. Combined with the SYNC technology, Taurus may be the best seat in the category. We will see if the materials fall short in production. Only thing that could have made this design better would be a coupe. This sedan is package excellent for a family. The one question remains: “how fast will she go?” SHO me!
