Mercedes-Benz M-Class Gets a New Face

It seems that Mercedes-Benz has released some images of the face-lifted M-Class SUV for the 2009 model year, which is due to show up at next week's New York Auto Show.

The new Mercedes offers a revised interior, with a two-tone color scheme, and a rather cool new four-spoke, multifunction steering wheel. As one would expect from the German company the new SUV is very tech-forward, with a new telematics system that offers hands-free Bluetooth, as well as iPod connectivity.

There are five engines in the lineup, with tweaks to the exhaust system and ECU meriting economy gains throughout the range. Power outputs for the new M-Class range between 190 and 388 horsepower for the standard engines, and 510 horsepower for the high performance 6.3-liter V-8 AMG model.
