Mystery* Gulf-Liveried TT Spied Outside Audi Headquarters
We might not have guessed it, but apparently someone at Audi has a thing for Gulf livery. This unusually painted TT was actually caught by a member of RS6.com while it was apparently out on display at the automaker’s headquarters in Ingolstadt.
An expensive paint job is just the beginning of this Audi’s modifications, however. The car has a body kit on it (it’s believed to be from Votex GmbH, a subsidiary of the VW Group), a rear wing, and a set of wheels borrowed from its big-brother, the new R8. Inside, the car receives two-tone leather, a pair of the RS4’s really sharp lightweight Recaros, and the rear seat has been removed.
Speculation on the forum is that this TT points to a future hardcore performance variant, and indeed, there’s been ample talk that the car will spawn a TT-S model (along with a few mules sighted that may or may not be the car in question). However, it is not known if this car is representative of that model, or if indeed this is anything other than a show car or just a home office pet project.
We're not necessarily sold on the paint (at least it looks better than the Geigercar Hummer GT), but the rest of the changes strike us as quite tasty.

* Update: According to our friends over at Autoblog, this modified TT is being attributed to Michael Dick, an Audi AG board member who heads up Technical Development.
