Adam Carolla to Host American Top Gear?
We brought you news months ago about NBC importing the BBC’s killer car show Top Gear to the U.S. Immediately following the announcement, rumors of who would host the U.S. version. Rumors, of course, included Jerry Seinfeld and Jay Leno. Now, because he has a bigmouth, Adam Carolla has claimed he will be one of the hosts.
Carolla is most notable for his television shows Loveline and The Man Show – and, some really sub-par movies. Sure, he’s an annoying nonsensical moron, but, in his defense, he’s an enthusiast.
He spilled the beans on his radio show on 97.1 Free FM yesterday. Now, no one from NBC has confirmed that Carolla is indeed a host, so, for now, we can only speculate.

The US Top Gear will only lower Top Gear's reputation, they should've kept it as it is.

Why not get the "car talk" guys on NPR to do the TOP GEAR AMERICA. They are perfect for the part. They are probably the most knowledgeable, intelligent and funny car geeks out there.
or maybe they're just not photogenic enough.

Top Gear works, in part, because the presenters aren't a load of P.C. Greenshirts.Few, if any American celebrities fall outside of that discription.
