What's your favorite Ferrari of all time?

Reilly Brennan

This is probably where I show my age, but my favorite Ferrari of all time is the 400i.

Just kidding, but in all seriousness is there a contender for the 250 GTO? If anything comes close in my book it's the 550 Maranello, but that's hardly close. I had a conversation with a friend last night about the 288 GTO, but it's not even in my top five F's of all time.

1990 Ferrari F40 but I'm really torn between that and Ducati's choice (but the Berlinetta version, no Spyders).

Yeah, Reilly, the 275GTB/4 is a contender, as is the 250 Lusso. When driving is taken into account (strange thought that), I don't think you can forget the F40 or the F2004 (Corsa Clienti).

My favorite ferrari is Testarossa'82 is the most elegant.

Ignoring the supercars for a moment, the one I would take that I would comfortably drive every chance I got would be a F355.  Just an unholy sound from the exhaust and most have a proper manual transmission.  And IMO the styling still looks clean a decade later.

I don't get many chances to drive classic Ferraris, so I have no idea which would be the best to drive.   But to me, the best classic Ferrari to look at is the 250GT Lusso uber alles.

I'm divided on the Dino 246 GT.  It's a beautiful car with a wonderful origin, and I prefer the GTS over the 911T, but it is a fickle machine, not fast, and has no authentic racing history (though the Dino name does).

I'll go on a limb and say that of the newer Ferraris, the 599 GTB has done the most to impress me.  It ranks up there with the Aston DBS and Maser GranTurismo on my wish list.

I guess I'm a little weird as I have always liked the 308 GT 4 since it was introduced.

I'm fond of the GT4 as well, because I'm a fan of all the Gandini cars from that time -- Miura, X 1/9, Stratos, 308 GT4, Urracco, countach...

I agree with The Stig. The 355 has one of the best sounds in recent Ferrari history. Going through a tunnel in that thing, drop a gear and stomp on it and it sounds pretty damn close to an F1 car.
