Favorite automotive artists?

If you're like me, you have a handful or two of automotive-related collectibles and art littering your homes, offices, garages, and so forth. Do you have any particular artists that you either collect or lust after? I'm partial to artists like Alain Levesque, but I like a broad variety of things, and even have a few rock-band prints by Jeral Tidwell, whose "Kentucky Fried Art" leans more toward the Rat Fink school of art than anything else.

David Snyder has long had a place in my heart.
I do remember my step-dad having a GMAC commemorative print of GM vehicles through the ages: a 1919 GMC truck, a 1929 Cadillac phaeton, a 1939 Pontiac sedan, a 1955 Oldsmobile 88, a 1967 Buick Riviera, and ending with a 1984 Chevy Corvette.
Next time I visit the family in the Midwest, I'll have to check that out again.

I love that first one. He may be French, but I see some German Expressionist influence there.

The late Peter Helck is my favorite. I had a Stutz Bearcat calender copy on my bedroom wall when I was 8.

I also enjoy the sort of semi-photorealist work of Hector Luis Bergandi in R&T.

Tom Fritz is the hot rodder's Remington; his paintings of period dry lakes racing and other hot rod subjects are incomparable. Check his website at fritzart.com
Steve Stanford is the master at rendering imaginary customized cars. He's a little harder to find than Tom, because his work is oriented around building specific cars rather than depicting history.
Both have been featured in the hot rod & custom car press many times.

How about Jay Koka?! He's a contemporary heavyweight. His paintings are some of the best I've ever seen. www.jaykokastudio.com/

Are you looking for any other work by Bührer ?

Bill Neale of Texas. He's a personal friend of legends like Jim Hall, Dan Gurney and Carroll Shelby, so he has had inside access to some of the most famous cars and races. His art is fantastic and unlike most artists, he is adept in both water colors and oils.
