Capirossi Returns...What About Spies?

More Spies please...

According to a release from Rizla Suzuki posted on motogp.com, Loris Capirossi will race in this weekend's Dutch TT at Assen after sitting out the last round at Donington due to a broken hand sustained in Catalunya. While Capirossi plans to ride even though his hand is not fully healed, reigning AMA superbike champ (and current points leader) Ben Spies will reportedly be on hand just in case (no pun intended).

Recall that as a replacement for Capirossi, Spies qualified 8th in last week's race at Donington and finished 15th—in his first Grand Prix event...ever. Spies will race the GSV-R at both US GPs. Given his familiarity with Laguna Seca, do you think Spies will be competitive with the front runners? It makes one wonder what Spies could do with a whole season...
