Jaguar XFR: Tata needs to do better!

I saw the spy photos of the XF-R. It looks like once again, Jag is just dropping the old supercharged V8 into the car, firming up the springs and dampers and probably throwing some black wood into the cabin. Frankly I like Jags and want Jag to succeed, but that isn't enough to go up against the M5 or the CTS-V or even the S6. Too little too late.

Ah, but it isn't the old supercharged V8. It is a new 5.0 liter engine!

And I'm not sure a Jag should take on the M5 or CTS-V on their own terms. But the new motor is welcome (though where's the V6 diesel???).
