2010 California Spider: What is Your Impression of Ferrari's New GT?
Ducati Minor

The California Spider carries both the name of Italian legends going back to the 1950s and the role of expanding the Prancing Horse into the open-top GT world. The Spider comes equipped as a more subdued alternative to the F430, but its emphasis on glamour makes it a fitting competitor to the Mercedes SL550 and Bentley Continental GTC...even though I'm not exactly sure what the damn thing really costs...
What is your impression of Ferrari latest exotic? Is it an instant winner? A misfit? Or another accessory for Paris and Lindsay?

Looks great in person and the reviews say it is a performer and deserving of the Ferrari badge. I'm more of a 430 Scuderia or 911 GT3 type of guy though so my imaginary $200k would go to something one of those. And if I was looking for something more GT-ish, I'd get the Lambo LP560-4 although I've read that car can turn a lap as fast or faster than the Scuderia.

I imagine this to be pretty different from the SL or the Bentley since it weighs much less, and i don't think Ferrari has a clue how to do isolation and numbness the way MB and Audi do (good thing that if you ask me).

I'd imagine the California buyer would be looking for something more hard edged than a SL or Bentley but not as hard edged as a F430. I know a guy that would be the perfect buyer for this car too.

I like it.
There you go.
