Any Chance of Us Seeing a Golf VI TDi?

I am actually very pleased with the official images of the Golf Mk. VI from VW. The present Golf/Rabbit is a fine car in petrol form, but is there any shot of VW bringing a 2.0 TDi to the States? Am I the only one who would seriously contemplate buying one?

I think VW's problem is that they need to put the TDi motor in a car with a high enough price point to work with the diesel cost premium. So, a Golf GDI?
