New Images and Full Car List for Gran Turismo 5 Prologue
While we’re all already patiently waiting for the April (fingers crossed) release of the Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, Sony has decided to get the simulator juices flowing by giving us a whole bunch of new information.
The company released even more details about the upcoming Prologue, which you’ll remember is supposed to be a kind of gaming petit four before the eventual release of the full GT5, including a complete car list, available tracks, and even more screen captures.
It’s that car list that has gotten us so excited today, as it contains a whopping 76 different vehicles, many of which we’ve never driven in a Gran Turismo game. The brand-new 2008 BMW 135tii is especially mind-blowing; though we’re pumped to see a grip of Ferraris (1976 512BB anyone?) are available too.

I'm not really impressed by the number of tracks available... only six!? I played gt4 and it's such a long game to finish... having only six tracks will be extremely repetitive. And What? no Porsche (or Ruf), no alfa 8c, only one Benz, one aston (but they made 4 lotus elise, and 4 lancer!). They could've dropped the suzukis and added some audis too (rs4-6).
At least there's a Ford GT...

Well, "LeDiscriminant"...Obviously the reason why we're getting PROLOGUE is because certain things aren't polished properly for them to want to release to the publics rather scrutinizing eyes (i.e. *YOU* LOL). Therefore the logical solution would be to only release car models/tracks that are as close to completion as possible, as to wet appetites, but not to satiate in any way.
I'm actually more interested in how they've improved the photo mode more than anything... :)

Ah, alright i get it.... forgot about the fact it wasn't the "complete game"..... looks to me it wont be worth the money to buy prologue.... i'll wait for the real one!

I can't wait to get my hands on the C6 Z06. Although starting off if I have to go cheaper, it will probably be a Camaro. I'm sure there will be a lot of options to sway my judgement though. I'm really excited about the addition of the F40. Oh, and you can't forget the all mighty Cappuccino. Thats a real beast! Hah....right.

Woohoo!! I now have another reason, other then Blu-Ray, to buy a PS3, because Prologue looks beautiful and I'm sure the final product will be awesome.
Hopefully they'll bolster the physics engine too.

I hope the full version of GT5 has a barn full of Suzuki Wagon R's and Daihatsu Grand Move's and other poky washing machines! I think they're more fun in the virtual drive.
I guess from the list above, I'd aim for the Swift, the Pug 207, or the Citroen C4. Half of the fun of the GT series for me is seeing everyday cars that aren't sold in the US in action. Couple it with my really bad (virtual) driving, and that's entertainment!
I was pretty good at the older versions of GT, but in GT4 I had to get my nephew to play it for a couple of hours, just to get enough cash for a decent ride! I hope GT5 isn't as stingy with the cash!
Also what's with "forward" to accelerate, and "backward" to brake? It drives me crazy that I can't configure my controller in GT4 the way it was in previous versions!
