The colors are dreadful, but the car is a wonder. The 1970s held few wheeled gems--this is one of them. Seeing the price, however, I don't think the seller is going to lose this from his inventory--a common thing these days.
That air hose is definitely NOT stock. It looks exactly like the exhaust hoses that we clip to our fire trucks so we can start them in the station (OSHA requirement). They're surprisingly fragile, constantly needing repair.
I saw one at Hardy & Beck in Berkeley. I think it was 1979, if memory serves. Engines were were weak compared to modern vehicles, but this was the pinnacle of BMWs at that time.
