Though it’s not due to be officially launched until July 28th the cagey bloggers at German Car Scene have captured some early images of the new Porsche 911 Targa.

The car pictured here is apparently the all-wheel-drive Targa 4 and seems to have the same movable glass lid as the out-going model. Tune in later this month as we uncover more news about the panoramic Porsche, as well as a whole host of new images.Until then check out the link below for a few additional 997-model Targa pics.

All 997 Targa's are 4's. I guess the rational being that Targa's are only bought in cold climes, hence need for 4 driven wheels. People in FL and CA buy full cabrio's.
