One Good Way to Package Your Liquid-Cooled Infrasonic Wave Pulse Generator: The Audi R8 ‘Blackbird’
Built to stifle the very best technology law enforcement officers have at their disposal, the non-lethal kind anyway, this Audi R8 “Blackbird” attempts to be the motoring equivalent of its ultimate spy plane namesake. The Blackbird’s owner, who wishes to remain nameless for reasons of a legal nature we’d guess, recently allowed famed coast-to-coaster Alex Roy to interview him about his land-bound stealth bomber. Roy records the such mad scientist additions as a rear light kill switch, four GPS units, broadband wireless internet, takedown lights, and of course a liquid-cooled infrasonic wave pulse generator for roasting hot dogs when you get tired of driving (but seriously, what the hell is a liquid-cooled infrasonic wave pulse generator?) Check out the full madness in the video above.

I would guess that guy is planning a Cannonball Run or something similar. I'd would also guess that the pulse generator is for jamming radar/laser. Pretty cool.

It's got to be one of the following:
1. Radar cloaking/jamming devise.
2. Fuel-injection vehicle disabler (as in the car in front of the R8)
3. Additional radiator for higher RPMs?

I think it has something to do with night vision and sound. I read somewhere that regular night vision can be scrambled with strobe lights, but apparently this cant. This guy also has strobe on his car too. So i guess he turns on the strobes, and this light in the front and he cant be seen at night. I also think it has something to do with laser/radar scrambling. I have looked all over the net and i cant find what it does.

Infrasonic refers to frequencies below audible electromagnetic waves; roughly under 20 Hz. Radar and laser frequencies are WAY above infrasonic, sonic and even ultrasonic waves so there's very little possiblity that it can mess with police speed detecting equipment. Since it is a "generator", it is assumed that it is not meant to receive singals of any sort but rather produce a signal or oscillation of some type. Since it is a "pulse" generator, that further suggests that this works with a pulsed electromagnetic field from which we could assume that it is essentially an electromagnetic pulse device or "EMP". An EMP for those of you who do not know, is a device that can temporatily or permanently knock out electrical systems. Since the unit is mounted on the front of the car we can safely assume that it is a directional device meant to be focused on objects ahead of the vehicle. With all the physical information we can gather in relative correctness that it emits pulsed electromagnetic waves. So it is not meant for jamming laser/radar but rather all electrical devices. A unit as such is of untold value in situations which police intelligence/tactics/protocol/technology is present. Police rely HEAVILY on electronic devices to do their job; including the computer that runs the squad car. Take out police electronics and in turn you take out the police.

Why are they putting a piggyback on a car whose ECU has already been cracked? Also, I can only imagine the price of this mod. Add $10k for the HKS name.
