Question of the Day: What’s in the Trunk of Your Car…Right Now?

We were handed the link to this article (which apparently crops up in more-or-less the same form every year) by our EIC Chris Paukert earlier today, spurring us to wonder what junk was in the trunks of our faithful readers? What dark and mysterious secrets lay at the bottom of your boot? Give us the low-down on your load, in comments.

Boxes and little bags of parts- everything needed to perform a four - corner brake rebuild on the Camaro convertible.

I keep some tools, a few emergency parts, duct tape and a set of jumper cables. I still believe that true car guys worry about what's under the hood, not what's in the trunk.

Absolutely nothing that wasn't there when it was on the showroom floor.

The usual: coupla' hatchets, chainsaw, coupla' shovels, plastic tarp, garbage bags, gas can, a good map of the Jersey pine barrens...

Extra fuses, a can of fix a flat, wrench and screwdriver set and a first aid kit are the essential items kept in the trunk. The car just has factory equipment and the home theater is in the HOME.

A big toolbox, a smaller toolbox, a sun visor, jumper cables, a full size spare (no donut), some cloth bags for groceries, and a jug of antifreeze. Hm.

4486 grams of Peruvian Flake, 8804 grams of NYC Diesel, 2 dead hookers (chopped, blended and neatly stored in ziploc bags), an automatic AR-15 w/ 12.5in barrel and 90rd drum magazine, 2 Remington 890 12ga w/ 14" barrels, the real Zapruder films showing JFK was assassinated by Elvis Presely and....
...a set up jumper cables and my tool kit. You can never be too careful these days.

A pound of high grade spleef, various pills, a bottle of ether and a bong that looks like a votive candle...
But in reality, on the two front windows for my '73 Volkswagen Thing daily driver, a gas heater, and the original jack and spare.

I usually always have a small 95 piece Craftsman tool set in the hatch ('94 Civic CX hatch "EG/EH2")...but I actually usually keep that behind the drivers seat, with the label facing the back of the seat so as not to draw too much attention to it (I don't have the optional cargo cover...and they sell for $175 on EBAY). What's in the cargo hold right now is just the passenger-side windshield molding that flew off and into the car awhile ago. >_>
Old school clips are mad lame.
OH, and I keep a lil assorted fuse replacement kit in the hatch too, along with the original spare and jack.
