Question of the Day: What's Your Favorite New American Car or Truck?

Detroit's Big Three have been the victim of some bad press as of late due to the present bailout decision. And while all three automakers know that they need to make some adjustments to their product lines in order to survive moving forward, we mustn't forget that there are still some really good products coming out of Detroit. GM has consistently stolen hearts with the Corvette, Suburban, and CTS; Ford's Flex and Mustang are solid contenders, and Chrysler made a splash this year with the Challenger.
So, let's forget about the financial crisis for a moment and focus on the good things Detroit is doing. Let us know what your favorite piece of new American metal is in Comments.

Are you referring to cars currently produced, or are you referring to any American car?
Either way...Corvette.

Chevrolet Suburban. It has no rivals and nobody does it better.

The Suburban is unequaled and very very dependable.
My new ZR1 is FABULOUS; by far the finest Corvette I have ever owned/driven on the street.

My ZR1 is superb and clearly equal or better than any European sports car up to $1m.
Very comfortable as a daily driver, impressive track performance, just upgrade the seats.
LOL
Your ZR1 is a bucket

I like the Flex, and hope that the Camaro will be a home run for Chevrolet. I'ma fan of the the Tahoe, as well.

The Buick Enclave. I needed a car like that, I would now pick the Buick instead of the Escalade.

I would nominate the '10 Camaro, but it's not "out" yet.
I was going to say the Saturn Sky, a beautiful and capable sports car, but it's already been out for awhile. I'm going to select the Pontiac G8. Across the board, this car has ranked very well. It is not breathtaking to look at, but it is a powerful, well-built, and fine-handling sedan.
Jeff
Darn, you took my nomination.
The other one on the short list is the CTS.
I say YAY to the new GOOD rear drivers coming back!

G8 GXP when it comes out. Until then, CTS-V and base Corvette.

This is an Australian car with an American Name
Ducati Minor
Yeah, but we made it better by making it American. [Insert Detroit joke here.]
The base 'Vette is almost getting overlooked. What does it have now? A 6.2 L "LS3"? I think Chevy bumped the output to 420 hp or something like that. Lutz pushed for the interior upgrade package, as well.
I like to join the chorus of folks who knock buyers of certain upscale sporty cars as midlife crisis examples, but I'd take a 'Vette any day of the week. It's a marvelous sports car, and has always been fashionable and usually been pretty good. (Except for the late-Sixties, mid-Seventies, and mid-Eighties.)

I like the Z06 vette, Chevy Silverado truck, and Cadillac CTS-V.

Saturn Sky Redline also sold as a Pontiac Solstice GXP and in Europe as an Opel GT

As one of those "almost here" nominations, I'd pick the Ford Raptor. If SVT can get this beast in the showrooms, I think it will be a high water mark for performance trucks.
The problem is the elephant in the room: Nothing is selling. The city of Boulder is overun with Audis. I know one of the mechanics at the Audi dealer. Not only are the new cars barely selling, people are NOT bringing their Audis in for service. Everyone appears to be postponing spending as long as possible.

The Ford F150, MUSTANG, Camaro, and Challenger!
L8APX
Ford Flex. It's a great road trip vehicle and you can bring all the toys(bikes, surfboards, kayaks)
Pedro
If we're talking "almost here" and foreign cars with domestic badge, I'll nominate the Ford Transit Connect Sport.

Pontiac Solstice Coupe GXP :)

Ford Flex or the F150 Raptor (I guess I should save that one for 2010)

Dodge Challenger R/T 6 speed, 08 and newer C6 Z51 with NPP exhaust, 09 dodge 1500 Ram truck.

I love my 06' Mustang GT but it will have a for sale sign on it when the new Camaro comes out.

I think I'm going with the '64 Malibu in Repo Man. Here's some trivia
on the car from IMDB: "No special effects were used to make the Chevy
Malibu glow while
parked at the repossession lot. Instead, the car was completely coated
with 3M reflective paint, at an approximate price of $600 per bucket."
