Rendering: Could This Be The 2011 Nissan Versa?
Though the Nissan Versa was introduced in 2006, it's already starting to get a bit old, especially with fresh new competition like the 2009 Honda Fit and Toyota Yaris five-door. However, a Japanese magazine known as Best Car has come up with a very simple rendering of what the next-generation Versa (in sedan form) could look like. As it stands right now, the Versa is slightly larger than most of its competitors, and this next-generation model could be a worthy competitor for the upcoming 2011 Ford Fiesta.
The new Versa should be arriving sometime in 2010 as a 2011 model and will be built on the Renault Megane's platform. Engine choices should remain the same, though there's no official word if both hatchback and sedan versions will be sold. In any case, there's definitely a lot to like about this rendering. We can see many Renault-inspired cues in the front fascia with a sleeker roofline and more shapely rear end out at the back.

Whats the big deal about the Versa. Its based of a car (Renault Megane) that JD Power Europe considers as the least Reliable small compact car in Europe. Plus Mr. Ewing, the Versa is not a true B-Segment like the Fiesta is. Its a go between the Cube and the Sentra. Also, do you really think that Ford is going to sell Fiestas in America with the same equipment that is seen in the Euro midels. A Euro Fiesta with the same equipment would cost more than a base US spec Focus, and we cant have that now. Back to the Versa, give it a better warranty since Nissans have lost lots of reliablity. Also, Id recommend an Altima Grille.

Hyundai doesnt need that warranty anymore except for the Minivan, but Nissan does for all of its models except the 370Z. Id buy a used 15 year old Nissan, However the shoddy build quality of the Nissans 10 years and newer commands a very risky price proposition attached to an antiquated unrealistic warranty.
