Spied! Aston Martin Vantage V12
Our spy photographers have caught a second look at the upcoming Aston Martin Vantage V12. The Aston may be wearing the same massively louvered engine cover as the previously spied car, but these new images show a new rear diffuser made from carbon fiber, a smaller integrated rear spoiler, and what appear to be the same carbon-ceramic brake discs found on the current DBS.
The DBS has also donated its powerful twelve-cylinder engine, said to be outputting somewhere in the neighborhood of 600 horsepower for the Vantage V12. Don’t expect this ultra-performance package to come cheaply however; we’re told that a sticker price of double the Vantage V8’s $100,000-plus price tag.

We have spotted the Aston Martin Vantage V12 again, and this time there are some changes compared to the first prototype we saw in April. Engine hood is still full of louvers to let all that hot air out from the (very) full engine bay where the guys from Aston have fitted the 6.0 liter V12 engine from the DBS, here delivering something between 550-600 horsepower’s.
But, the visible changes to the first prototype are a completely new designed rear diffuser made of carbon fibre looking more like the one on the concept. Also the side rockers are new designed compared to both the concept car and the first real prototype.
Luckily it looks like they don’t need the rear wing like the concept, but just made it like a smaller integrated spoiler.
With that much power, its also important to stop when you want, and therefore the Vantage V12 has the same big carbon-ceramic brakes like the one we find on the DBS.
So, how much money do you have to save to get a Vantage V12? Well, if you’re close to having saved enough for a Vantage V8 then you will need the same amount of Dollars, Pounds or Euros again. The V12 will probably cost double the price of a Vantage V8.
You think that’s much?
You will get a Ferrari 430 Scuderia or a Lambo Gallardo Superleggera for about the same money, but remember, the Aston will always have more cylinders then both of them.
