Spied: Next-Generation Ford Focus Closer to Production
We just received these spy photos of the next-generation Ford Focus, and it’s looking sharp. With a new grille and bumper, and that cute rear end (check out those taillights), all wrapped up in a ground-hovering five-door body, we think Ford’s making this hatch a bit sexier.
Now, we just have to wait and see what engines will end up in which markets. We’re keeping our fingers crossed for some efficient and exciting powerplants stateside (yes, we just winked at you, Mulally).

A Ford Focus mule has been spotted again, and compared to the first mules we spotted during winter testing; this one has some parts that actually look as if they would come from the real new Focus. The front parts on this one seems to be the right stuff, even if it’s fully camouflaged. Grille is definitely new and the bumper, even if disguised, also.
The new and third generation of the Ford Focus is set to go on sale in 2010 and will come in several versions, where the 5-door hatch and the Wagon will be the big sellers. Later on there will follow a Convertible and maybe even a Coupe.
