Spy Shot: 2010 Peugeot 3008 Crossover is Uncovered
Peugeot seems ready to take the fight to one of Europe’s popular small crossovers, the Nissan Qashqai, with this newly uncovered 3008 CUV.
Â
Based on, and strongly resembling the 3008 Prologue Concept from this fall’s Paris Motor Show, the five-person people mover seems to have the pert proportions and interior volume to compete strongly in this segment, but the styling is still something of an open question. The large, open mouth grille might take a little extra getting used to.Â
The 3008 will likely share engines with its 308 little brother, meaning slew of small displacement four-bangers and highly efficient diesels.
We expect to see the production 3008 in March of next year at the Geneva Motor Show. Read on below for the spy shooter’s original comments.
Here are the first photos of the Peugeot 3008 without disguise. The 3008 is the direct answer from Peugeot against smaller crossovers like the Nissan Qashqai.
We shots the first spy photos in the last winter, but then it was more like a black, five-person tent on wheels, and on the Paris Motor Show this September Peugeot showed us the 3008 Prologue Concept. Now with these new spy shots, we can see that they have kept almost the entire concept look.
Expect the engines to be the same as in the 308 models when Peugeot shows us the car in public during the Geneva Car Show in March 2009.
