Spy Shots: Gumpert Apollo Speed Tests at the 'Ring
The Gumpert Apollo Speed concept showed up at the Geneva show, but these photos of the car testing at the Nürburgring are much more appealing.
It’s twin-turbo V-8 engine pushes this beast to 62 miles per hour in three seconds, and onward to a blinding top speed of 224 miles per hour. Most impressive.

The German supercar manufacturer Gumpert was testing with a slightly modified Apollo Speed at the Nürburgring today. Shown as a concept at this year’s Geneva Car Show, the Apollo Speed is getting closer to its production version. This prototype seems to something between the Sport and the Speed, some parts do look very much like taken from the Sport, like the rear lights, and some parts look just like the Speed concept. Lets just see if they will show some news at the Frankfurt Car Show.
The Gumpert Apollo is a real supercar with an Audi based V8 twin-turbo delivering between 650 horsepower up to 800 wild horses. Together with a low weight, just 1200 kg, this gives the Apollo radical performance. 0-100 km/h in just 3 seconds and a top speed of 360 km/h.
