Spy Shots: Mercedes-Benz E-Class Convertible

We received these spy shots this morning of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class convertible testing on the Nürburgring. It will have the same engine offerings as the E-Class coupe, including the 388 horsepower, direct-injection V-8.

Check out the E-Class convertible in the gallery above before it goes to Frankfurt, or scroll down for the photographer’s own words.

The Mercedes E-Class convertible has been spotted in very light disguise, and this time on and around the Nürburgring. Heading for its official debut in Frankfurt this fall, it’s making the last hi-speed testing. Engine options will be the same as the E-Class coupe, but we are still hoping for an AMG version for both. Something that is still denied by Mercedes.

The E-Class convertible will also feature a new type of wind protection for the passengers, sitting on top of the windscreen. This will allow passengers in the rear seat as well without the risk of sitting in a thunderstorm.
