Spy Shots: Mercedes-Benz SLK Takes Some Laps

Our spy photographer is hard at work at the Nürburgring, and has caught the 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK again, only this time, it didn’t catch fire.

It looks to be convertible week at Mercedes this week. Yesterday we brought you some spyshots of the upcoming E-Class convertible, and today it’s time for some new shots of the Mercedes SLK while taking some laps on the Nürburgring. Too bad that they both where driving with the roof closed, even with plenty of sun.

We can expect a new range of engines in the new SLK, and this time we will probably find a diesel engine under the hood for the first time in the SLK history.

Because the new SLK will first hit the showrooms in 2012, we will have plenty of chances to update you with more photos with less and less camouflage as the development will continue.
