Spy Shots: Porsche Boxster Speedster Caught Topless

In concurrence with the 2009 Porsche Boxster S being in our fleet, we now have spy shots of the Boxster Speedster. We notice a few fun alterations, such as the lower windshield and a minor nosejob. We imagine the Speedster has also probably shed a few pounds. Perhaps Porsche will wring out a few extra ponies to sweeten the deal. We’ll have to wait on confirmation of those details, though.

See the new Porsche Boxster Speedster in the gallery above, or scroll down for the photographer’s own speculations.

New Porsche Boxster Speedster caught with the top down. With the new Boxster already testing, Porsche are working on a “Last edition” for the current one. And what could be cooler then a Speedster version of the Boxster.
We guess the Boxster Speedster will be a real driver’s car with its stripped out interior and lower weight. Other visible changes are the lower windshield, a slightly modified front bumper and of course the Speedster humps. Maybe they give the Speedster some special wheels as well, the Fuchs look-a-likes from the 911 Sport Classic would fit well I guess. The roof will probably be a manual folding roof in a simple way, more of a rain protection then a winter proof soft top.
Engine is likely to be the same as the Boxster S, but it could also be that Porsche will pull out a few horsepower extra just for fun.
