Spy Shots: Porsche Panamera Slips Up During Winter Testing

Porsche’s four-door Panamera may still be several months away from officially going on sale (the company has set a target of late summer/early fall 2009), but that doesn’t mean the car isn’t getting substantial workouts already, even in bad weather.

While out hunting fresher game from Porsche (check out the new 911 here) our spy photographers stumbled upon this particular Panamera in a bit of a pickle. Navigating some slippery, snow-covered roads, this Porsche driver managed to put his test car into a snow bank. After a little bit of help from a fellow in a Cayenne Turbo (the crash victim apparently refused offers of help from our shooter), the black Panamera was set right, seemingly no worse for the wear.

Have a closer look at the fun in our gallery above.

Yes, we know the Panamera is official but we still wanted to show you these photos of the show room ready car driving on some snowy roads. Well, at least the driver tried to drive it on the road, but as we can see, he first tested a shortcut.

But with a little help from his Porsche colleagues he was soon up on the road again and testing, business as usual. And yes, we asked if he wanted some help, but he refused.

Haha. I was thinking the same thing when I saw this picture. My next thought was, "Does anyone really think that the Panamera is attractive?" Ugh. Aside from the front end, this car is one of the worst looking in recent memory (not in Aztec class, but what else is?). I'm sure it will perform well, but the styling is a bigger turn-off than a girl with hairy pits. Yikes!

It is Aztek-ugly.

Re the looks of the car...

I beg to differ. It is one of the sleekest and most beautiful sedans to come along. Even beats the last generation BMW 7 series sedans. Pure function and no do-dads.

This baby makes everything look, at best, like an outhouse.

You are BS'ing.  Both Panamera and the 7 are dreadful.  (The 7 is getting better, though.)  The post is nothing more than a prank.

Gee This should help Maserati sell a lot more Quatraportes. After seeing these spyshot photos i certainly wont be waiting any longer to put my order in for the Masser
