Spy Shots: Redesigned Fiat Grande Punto

We haven’t been terribly religious about keeping track of the latest Fiat spy shots in the past, but with the Italian company’s new deal with Chrysler in place every piece of information has a potential impact on the North American auto landscape.

This face-lifted Grande Punto is a good example of another interesting small car we’d like to see, especially since this new model has seemingly been graced with an Alfa Romeo interior. The shooter opines that the dash seen in this GP is remarkably similar to the unit found in Alfa’s 149, which is to say, considerably more premium than would have been expected. Have a closer look above.

Fiat is preparing a mild facelift for the Grande Punto, and we got the photos of it. Outside changes are really small, so if the car wasn’t taped up we guess no one would have noticed the changes. Only news we can see are the new grille and front bumper.

But if we look inside we can see some bigger changes. It looks like the interior will be completely new and more like the one we can find in Alfa Romeo. Or are Fiat fooling us, and they have put the dashboard from the upcoming 149 in a face lifted Grande Punto? We guess time will show us, but there is still no word on when we will see the new Grande Punto at the dealers.
