Our clandestine, European photographers have just reported in with a complete photo set of the new Mercedes-Benz CLS four-door coupe, seen for the first time with its roofline completely undisguised.

Despite some S-Class underpinnings rumors to the contrary, we’re told that the new CLS does indeed ride on the E-Class platform, using the engine lineup from the E-Class range as well. This generation CLS should also have a Mercedes BlueHybrid powertrain as an option as well.

Here is the first complete photo set of the new Mercedes CLS. This fantastic beautiful 4 door coupe that was the car that started the 4-door coupe avalanche in modern time. By now almost every carmaker has or will have a 4-door coupe in its line-up.

Based on the new E-Class platform, even if some rumors say it will be based on the S-Class, and therefore slightly bigger than the current version. On these exclusive photos we can see the complete roofline without disguise.

For the first time we will also see the new CLS as a BlueHybrid, because it will get the same engine as recently shown in the S 400 BlueHybrid. Of course we will find the same engines as in the new E-Class as well. That will mean both petrol and Diesel engines in different sizes as well as powerful AMG versions.

In 2010 we will see the CLS be unveiled.
