Spy Shots: Updated BMW M5 Caught

Our spy photographer just sent us these photos of the updated BMW M5 wearing a little bit less camo than usual. Besides shedding those ugly clothes, it may also be shedding some pounds, and two cylinders; rumor has it the new M5 will be powered by a twin-turbocharged V-8 engine, instead of the thirstier and heavier 5-liter V-10.

See it in the gallery above, or scroll down to see what the shooter has to say.

The BMW M5 was out testing last week with alot of cammo, even with a sack in the front. But here are some shots with the last stage of cammo for the M5. Its rumored to lose its V10 to a Bi-turbo V8 for both fuel economy reasons and for better performance on the road. The V10 was not just uneconomical and thirsty for fuel, but also heavier then a V8. We expect a eight-speed dual-clutch connected to the V8 for even more fun.
