When it comes to Bentleys, new models are a big deal, simply because the automaker's portfolio is so exclusive. The aging Arnage has been with us for quite some time now, and now the new Grand Bentley, the 2011 Mulsanne, has been revealed. The official debut took place at this past weekend's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, but the full details of the Mulsanne will not be released until next month's Frankfurt Motor Show.

As of this writing, we know that the Mulsanne will be powered by some sort of V-8 engine when it goes on sale in mid-2010. Bentley says that this car is "neither an evolution of revision" of the Arnage, and that it was inspired by the original eight-liter Bentley of 1930-31, which at the time, was conceived as the world's largest and most luxurious automobile.

We're sure that the Mulsanne will be nothing short of elegant, in true Bentley fashion, and we'll have the full details from next month's Frankfurt show. In the meantime, click through the post to read all of the details that Bentley has released at this time.

Today, Bentley sent out this video of the Continental Supersports (with Derek Bell at the helm) climbing the Hill in the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Both manufacturers are giving professional traders, owners and enthusiasts an opportunity to buy anything that they might want, from a V-8 engine block to an indicator bulb, to a 1950s handbook.
 
The idea behind this massive sale is to help get rid of some of the seven million stored and cataloged items that the companies have for its cars, built from 1955 onwards, to make place for its upcoming models like the Bentley Continental Supersports. The sale is going to be held on September 26th and 27th, 2009.

Bentley announced today that it will debut, and name, its all-new grand Bentley at the 2009 Pebble Beach Concours D’Elegance in Monterey, California on August 16.

Bentley released this video of its all-new Grand Bentley. The video shows vague, dark shots of the vehicle, which, according to the automaker, “will be the purest expression of the Bentley spirit."

We will be sure to keep you posted as details emerge about the Grand Bentley. For now, the above teaser video will have to suffice.

There's an interesting phenomenon that happens whenever we test convertibles. We find that new emotions are sparked within us when a car's roof is completely removed, and we've recently spoke of this in our reviews of the Mini Cooper and Audi TTS convertibles. And while we've discussed the majesty that is Bentley's new series of Speed models, we feel that the whole package of bucks-up craftsmanship with supercar performance takes on a whole new level of enjoyment in the 2010 Continental GTC Speed. After all, it's not just about having a legendary Bentley B on the grille and a voluptuous interior, it's about being able to make a 5478-pound automobile go from a stand-still to 60 miles per hour in just 4.5 seconds and having the whole experience -- the sound, the rush, the sure thrill -- completely surround you in an open-air environment.

Our spy photographer just sent us these excellent shots of the Bentley Continental Supersports, which can run on E85. The Supersports is capable of 621 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. It has a top speed 204 miles per hour, and a 0-60 time of 3.7 seconds, thanks to its 6.0-liter W-12 and a weight reduction of 220 pounds over the GT speed.

The Geneva Motor Show is just around the corner, but the ladies and gents from Crewe couldn't hold it back any longer -- they had to tell all about the new Bentley Continental Supersports, the fastest, most powerful Bentley vehicle ever created with FlexFuel capability.

The standard Continental GT's 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged W-12 has been slightly modified, so output has been increased to 621 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. Additionally, the Supersports is a little more than 240 pounds lighter than the already quick Continental GT Speed. 0-60 happens in 3.7 seconds, 0-100 takes just 8.9, and at the very end is a top speed of 204 miles per hour.

Outside, the Supersports has a new, menacing front end, as well as a revised rear skirt with elliptical exhaust pipes. Slightly curved rear wheel arches also give the Bentley a muscular stance and nicely flatter the car's added track width. Inside, lightweight sport seats have been added and the rear seats have been removed in favor of a simple stowage deck. Alcantara, carbon fiber, and Bentley's Soft Touch leather are found throughout the entire cabin, and we're sure it's truly a nice place to spend some time.

The headliner for the Bentley stand at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show has neither name nor technical specifications available yet, though the automaker has released two pertinent facts. The car known simply as the “Extreme Bentley” will run on biofuel, and will also be the marque's fastest and most powerful car yet.

Judging from the video above, the formidable mystery car is based off of the Continental GT Speed certainly looks the part with its blacked out grills and a considerable number of vents and intakes. The current Continental GT Speed is the most powerful production Bentley today, with 600 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque, so we’re expecting the new ethanol-powered beast to boast rather impressive figures. Though engine specifics aren't yet confirmed, it's likely that it will use the same W-12 twin-turbocharged engine that the rest of the Continental range utilizes only tweaked for bio-fuel, and a lot more kick.

Bentley is one automaker that doesn't believe in flashy lights or extravagant press conferences simply because the products, like the new Continental GTC Speed, really speak for themselves. There's no denying that this is one gorgeous convertible, and the Bentley name means its hand-crafted, super luxurious, and extremely powerful.

This variant, the GTC Speed, is capable of reaching 200 miles per hour and is advertised as Bentley's most powerful convertible ever. Under the hod lies a 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged W-12 engine which produces an astonishing 600 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque, running to the ground via permanent all-wheel drive. Even so, the GTC Speed can hit 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds, making it supercar fast but with really elegant style. This show car looks particularly interesting with its steel grey exterior color and the bright red interior finish, though in typical Bentley fashion, consumers will have a wide array of options to really personalize their GTCs.
