It’s been a while since we’ve spied the new BMW X3, but here she is testing at the Nürburgring, looking a little further along. We’ll keep you posted as details develop and it starts to show some more metal instead of BMW’s psychedelic camouflage. We’re hoping we’ll get a diesel version here in the U.S. next year, as we have with the BMW X5.

We’ve seen the Audi RS5 testing before, but we get a little more excited about it each time. Especially when we see it on the kind of roads we love to drive.

Its V-8 engine should produce well upwards of 400 ponies. We imagine it’ll produce a nice sound, as well.

The 2010 Porsche Cayenne was caught testing on the Nürburgring, and our spy shooter saw that it was more compact. We’ve heard that it is supposed to be lighter and more fuel efficient (the latter especially so in diesel and hybrid versions) than previous models, and it is reportedly a bit more nimble on the ‘Ring.

Really, though, the people who must truly be excited are the tuners who see Porsche’s less-loved Cayenne as a blank canvas for their work.

Our spy photographer caught this Audi R8 V10 testing on the Nürburgring. The fixed rear wing and the small flaps on the front bumper just may indicate that a lightweight version is in the works. Or it’s just an aero kit.

Is it possible that Audi is taking a cue from the Lamborghini LP550-2 Valentino Balboa, and shedding some pounds and going rear-wheel-drive to create an Audi R8 V10 ClubSport? We can only hope.

Yesterday, we reported on spy shots of what might be BMW’s efficient sports car concept popping up on the Internet. This morning, our very diligent spy photographer sent us a gallery of our own to post.

As we reported last week, BMW is scheduled to debut some sort of efficient sports car concept at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show. And for those of us dreaming up visions of a super-hot Audi R8 fighter in the style of the BMW M1 Homage concept, our hopes might not be too far off.

Enthusiast site BimmerPost has captured a set of images of what they believe to be the mystery concept making its way to the Frankfurt stage. While not much of the car is revealed in these shots, there's no denying that this will be a sleek, sexy machine sure to give any forthcoming Audi a run for its money.

Our beloved spy photographer sent us these photos of the facelifted BMW 3-Series. Both the coupe and the convertible showed up with wearing less than we’ve seen before, and we get a good look at the bumpers and lights.

Don’t blush, 3-Series. You’re very handsome. We’ll see you in Frankfurt.

Suzuki made a big splash with the debut of its all-new Kizashi mid-size sedan last week, but the automaker is far from finished with its North American offerings.

Witness the new Suzuki Swift, still hidden from prying eyes, but with a completed nose poking through for us to ponder.  Suzuki maintains that the diminutive seen here Swift will be headed to the U.S. sometime next year, and may just challenge Mini for the cutest ride on the block when it arrives.

Diesel and Hybrid versions of the car are likely to be on offer in Europe during the car’s life cycle, and we’d guess that U.S. customers might very well have the option to buy the pocket-rocket Swift Sport. The standard car will be a front-driver, though there some credence to the rumor that an all-wheel drive version may be in the works, too. All-wheel capability would certainly fit with Suzuki’s go-anywhere image.

We’re already on the dance card to see Suzuki’s new Kizashi (that name still isn’t official, but we’ve got our fingers crossed) midsize sedan officially debuted tomorrow, but it seems as if the wait was too much to bear for one of the laser-eyed posters on the Motive forums.

One industrious snapper from Road Race Motorsports has captured Kizashi at what appears to be a very official, launch-like event, though the full origins of these images have yet to be determined. We like what we see from the front of the new Suzuki flagship, where an aggressively styled front grille dominates (and looks not a little like Audi’s shield), and larger sloping headlights are well integrated. Things get a little less distinctive as we head toward the rear of the car, but we’ll certainly reserve final judgment until we seen the sedan in the metal.

We like saying “Skoda.” Especially in a Sean Connery voice. So, we were probably more excited than we should have been when these spy photos of the Skoda Superb Kombi came through.

The Superb Kombi will offer gasoline engines ranging from a 125 to 260 horsepower, and diesel engines putting out between 105 and 170 ponies.

Rumors suggest we may see Skoda cars coming stateside in the future.
