Video: Classic JDM Chase Scene
Though our favorite car chase scenes tend to run toward the Hollywood variety, this JDM spec clip proves that the genre is heralded across the globe. Those whose hearts beat faster at the sight of classic Japanese metal (author raises hand) should especially love this long-play chase between a Toyota TE71 Corolla Levin and an S30 Fairlady Z (movie is unknown, sadly, but feel free to wise us up in comments). One thing that impressed me was the lack of tire tracks. Too often, in modern chase scenes, they rehearse so often that there are a dozen rubber streaks on the pavement, when the shot is finally filmed. These streets were pristine.
