IS THAT IT....

NO DOUGHNUTS, WHEEL SPINS NOTHING?!

JOHN BALL

The video fails to convey the "feeling" of driving, a bit of a waste of time. Text in the magazine is much more informative.

This video conveys that feeling quite nicely. Just driving. I like the wind buffeting, the engine notes, the beautiful scenery, the tire screeches. Perfect!

DY

Good effort. But do make the videos more interesting like Top Gear. No creative script for voice over?

oliver_sudden

At least there's no hideous soundtrack drowning out the sounds of the cars.

Anonymous

Amen to what oliver said ... the only soundtrack req'd is that of the engines.

kenneth wang

you can't go wrong with anyone of these cars. The Gallardo would be my personal pick. When you are paying this kind of money for a sports car. The exotic lines, muscular sound, and outright violent throttle response make the Gallardo the winner.

The Mercedes is plain looking in comparison while the Porsche 997 is too common in any metropolitan city. We buy cars for reasons. The impulse is more than any 0-60 performance numbers or the cars time on the Nurburgring. These passion driven buying impulses make Lamborghini the true winner in this trio. How elese would you spend USD$2500,000 on one sports car?

Mena

"The Gallardo would be my personal pick."

The Gallardo would be my pick also, especially after I've seen the lap times at my local track (Willow Springs) from it compared to the 911 GT2, Nissan GTR and others. It's truly a real sports car.

I, SOOOOOOOOOOOO enjoyed that vid!
& as far as the people knocking it, for 'whatever' reason, what do you expect for:
(i) 01:40:00, & (ii) No commentary??
Come on man; It's FREE to view!
3 of my favorite cars of all time, on the one video, with (as Oliver said) no hideous music, but the tone of roaring super cars, and several viewing angles/points to really soak up the what it would be like from within the car, & from a distance should you be blessed enough for one to pass you!
I thought that was an awesome sight to see, & the video was very good, & VERY appreciated.
The Gallardo 560-4, was my favorite also.
You couldn't beat a Lambo' for throttle response, out of that pick cars.

Justin

Excellent video guys.

While I simply love my Porsches I have to say the new 560-4 was undoubtedly the pick of the bunch there. The noise that V10 makes is fantastic! The subtle changes to the tail lights etc are also a nice touch for the new model.

Frankie

The sound of the V12 in the Lambo beats the others.

alex

I dont think so,have u ever heard the sound of bmw m5 thats the boom!!!

Robusto

Absolutely. I would have loved to see an M5 in this showdown

ajk

except that the lambo is a v10, not a v12...

ridwan

There's a time for music and a time for people's opinions.

Driving is not a time for either.

Love the soundtrack, love the vid. Thanks WR!

Anonymous

^I agree with ridwan, this video was excellent! I loved the soundtrack and watching the drivers play with each other with psuedo passing, tucking back in and actually passing (GT2 <3)made the hairs stand up. Good work!

Anonymous

That was fun

JohnRGT

What, exactly, were the terms of the deal you guys made with the Devil?

Tom

Amazing stuff. I really enjoyed that video.

Were tire noise sound effects added?

Nate Luzod

@Tom

The effects you hear were all recorded on-the-spot.

Tom

Seriously, benz! Wake up!

Why does your car weigh 1,200 lbs more than the GT2??!
Does it come with 11 models in the trunk?
Is it a massive Ford-built SUV that has room for 9 people?

I'll tell you why - NO GOOD REASON. It is engineered poorly! It is not a sports car! It is oversized junk! It is uneconomical and wasteful! At least make a sports car true to form. Do you even REMEMBER what SL stands for? Look in the history books and learn something!

Rip all the extra shit out of the AMG cars (even moreso than the black series), and GUT the black series if you want to be taken seriously.

It seems I will never buy a Benz in this lifetime, unless it is an old 300 SLR, back from the era when they made their last sports car.

Mena

That was an awesome video guys!!!!!! Captured experience perfectly. It gave me goosebumps! It reminded me of my Paso Robles run earlier this year with the West Coast Solstice/Sky club. The narrow country roads, the rolling hills and mountains, God what an awesome time!

Scenicroadways

Excellent video. Really conveyed the rush of driving, with the engine sounds and random interior shots mixed in.

What a b.s. video. They were "racing" yet there was a camera vehicle. derrrr

Tom. Do you know anything? The AMG is a luxury car. sure it is a fast luxury car but it is in fact a luxury car. Derrrrr......why is it so heavy. Maybe its the hand crafted wood interior or the sound deadening materials.

martin

Hey Winding Road give me a shout and I'll be your Stig. Put those machines through some pace and make them sweat that gasoline

Alan

great video. love those cars. keep making them.

SpyderMan

Great show! Only one thing I'd like on future videos - camera mounted to the driver's helmet (or very close to it.) That would be an awesome video!

Linda: another good thing

What I wouldn't give to be behind the wheel of any of these babies right now instead of folding laundry...
now to peruse the Winding Road write up, then take the '08 TT for a little spin across town.

Anonymous

i love Lamborghini.

Anonymous

I thought the video was great and had exactly what I wanted: The sound of the cars driving in well-recorded audio with nothing in the way other than the sound of the other cars doing the same. Would have loved to hear each car more individually, but since I will probably never be in around any one of these three cars while they're being driven like this, I can't really complain.

Anonymous

Uhhh, what happened to the Benz? Couldn't keep up?

Amelia - Window

You know that I really enjoy your video. At the same time it can't present and demonstrate all the nuances of the driving. And I think that there are the points to compare.

Nathan - Software Recovery Reviewer

hello! what a luck to be the last in this line of comments: you always get so many usefull information and advices. so thanks very much to everyone whose comments are under this article!!! have a nice day!

engineblox

it really doesn't make a lot of sense..but im a big fan of most Lamborghini's specially the Gallardo..and i know that these three are the monsters of engine power..

Bosnian Cowboy

I dont see something to say wow

Daisy

you know my opinion wiil not change much from those of others!)) this was really great, impressive better to say! i hope everyting's ok with the guy! thanx for posting the video!

Anonymous

Except for the Porsche Gt2 taking over the Gallardo (something that would never happen in the real world) I liked the vid.

Abdulla

A better comparison would have been with the F430 in it. I dont think the Merc should have been in this test because it falls in a different category. Oh and by the way, where was it in the video? There you go, thats your answer there.
