Future Drives: Chevrolet Tacuma MPV

Our friends at CarPix have spied what appears to be a new endeavor by Chevrolet into the small-MPV market, the next-generation Tacuma.
This Chevy hauler will be pitted against useful people-movers like the Mazda5, though the Tacuma lacks the sliding rear doors of the Mazda MPV. From the size of this test car, it also looks like consumers will be able to order a seven-seat equivalent.

Based on GM's Delta platform, the Tacuma will be built in Hamtramck, Michigan and should go on sale in 2010. Look for the next-generation Opel Zafira (with a possible Saturn variant) to also ride on this platform.
