Winding Road Issue 51 is Now Available!
We love Porsche 911s, and the Turbo is one of our favorites. We like it so much, in fact, that the new car has made its way onto the cover of our latest issue of Winding Road. But this issue isn't just about the 911 Turbo. Here's a look at what else is inside:
- 2010 Acura ZDX
- 2009 MTM Audi S3
- 2010 Suzuki Kizashi
- 2009 Winding Road Greenformance Awards
- Luxury At $35,000: Mercedes-Benz vs. Audi vs. Buick vs. Acura
- 2009 BMW Z4 sDrive35i vs. 2009 Porsche Boxster S
Of course, there's much, much more to be found in our latest issue, so be sure to give it a read in one of our two formats.

I look forward to reading the articles in issue 51 when your new online viewer is functional. The viewer navigation loads but not any content. My status bar indicates the viewer is switching back and forth between "transferring data from stats.zmag.com" and "waiting for stats.zmag.com". I am no fan of PDF docs, so I won't pay to read that format.

We're having a server problem at the moment and are working to get it resolved as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience

Your online reader is not working for me either. Data appears to load but then no content is displayed. Just then Magnifying Glass cursor icon.

It just worked for me, lucky, I guess...
Tom Martin wrote a nice piece on Horsepower vs. Torque. Rather than focusing on the peak of either figure, I would suggest that the area under the torque curve is what matters. That's why I wish reviews would show torque vs. rpm graphs. That area tells you performance potential. A diesel will have the big bump low, but it will trail off at higher rpm. A Mitsubishi Evo spikes up at the right, but doesn't have as much down low.
The graph would tell us what we need to know.
BTW, "Letters" is no more. RIP.

Never fear on Letters, Chartguy. Our readers went strangely silent for the last month, leading to a brief sabbatical for the segment in WR51. No worries though, plenty of commentary via email for the new issue already--your voices will be heard.
Don't be shy ya'll, write to us at editor@windingroad.com with your thoughts about current issue of the magazine, or just what's on your mind. We love hearing from you.
